the "Blue Voyage" phrase, was first used by 3 Turkish authors: Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı (fisherman of Halicarnassus), Azra Erhat and Sabahattin Eyüboğlu. They were making "blue voyages" in the 1950's. Azra Erhat, published her novel "Blue Voyage" in 1957. They were calling the full of peace and discovery trips to beautiful bays as "blue voyage".

When you decide to have a blue voyage on the Turkish Coast, or Greek Islands, the next point is choosing the right boat and the crew during this trip. Actually, basically, there are 2 choices: 1. Luxury service in luxury gulets or yachts, 2. Feeling the sea and the wind more in a sailing boat.

in luxury wooden gulets or yachts, you may get a luxury service. Besides the captain and the seamen, the crew may also consist of chief and hostesses. You may have air conditioned rooms, satellite TV and internet during all the trip. You may also have some facilities like jet-ski and water-ski. Of course when you get services like these in a luxury boat provided by many crew, then you pay much more than you pay for a only skippered sailing boat. The other and more economic way of having a virtual tour is renting a skippered sailing boat. In this solution, for the boat, you may pay 1500 - 5000 Euro for the whole week. And 125 - 150 Euro per day for the captain (skipper). One hostess may also join the trip, who will deal with cooking and dishes for 50 Euros per day.
